NSPIS HR has been designed by Cedar HR in conjunction with the Police Service specifically for UK Police Forces. NSPIS HR uses the market leading Oracle HR application as the foundation. Cedar HR specialises solely in the provision of Resource Management Solutions for the Police Service of England and Wales.
This partnership with the Service has enabled Cedar HR to invest over 90 Person years, equating to millions of pounds, to create an integrated HR solution addressing Police Personnel (including Recruitment, Career Development, Occupational Health and Welfare), Training Administration, Duties Management, and Health & Safety Reporting. The immediate benefits of our 'off the shelf' Police HR solution are further enhanced by the guarantee of future enhancements as Police HR needs evolve.
The real cost of an HR system like NSPIS HR is not merely the coding changes made to the system for Police specific use, but in the Requirements Analysis and Consultation, Feasibility Study, Functional Specification and Consultation, Technical Specification, Testing and Regression, Acceptance, Documentation, Help Files, Training Materials, Project Management and Support. NSPIS HR is a successful National programme. In the last 18 months over £1,000,000 has been invested in enhancements and specifications to ensure NSPIS HR continues to meet the needs of the Police Service at minimum inconvenience and cost to individual Forces. A similar amount is planned for 2006. We will continue to focus on delivering cost effective, measurable benefit through our systems and freeing the Forces to focus on Policing.
