Cedar HR was proud to sponsor the HR awards at this year's Annual CIPD Police Forum Conference. By working closely with Police Forces we are able to ensure that our products and solutions provide the tools to allow transformation, collaboration and convergence.

The annual CIPD Police Forum awards, sponsored by Cedar HR, recognises outstanding HR Performance and entry is open to all Police Forces in England and Wales. HR Departments are asked to submit nominations into three categories:

• People development
• Improving front line performance
• Promoting equality and diversity

The award winners were announced at the annual CIPD Police Forum Conference which was held at NPIA Ryton on 20th July. The panel of judges were looking for submissions to demonstrate evidence of:

• An understanding of the business need/context
• A proactive value-added HR contribution
• Innovative and creative thinking
• Improved people resource match to business need
• Performance improvement achieved
• Efficiencies achieved
• HR leadership

As always the standard of entries was very high, demonstrating the Police HR departments are providing a valuable contribution to their Police Forces. Wiltshire Police demonstrated that their HR function is leading their Force in transforming processes across the business and into their communities. They scooped a double by winning two awards. They won the awards for People Development and Improving Front Line Performance.
